contest. This year, we’re inviting you to join us in a celebration of youth, politics, and
community spirit. This is your opportunity to network with political figures, share your
insights on politics, and connect with like-minded youth from across the province.
Whether you are a seasoned essay writer or just passionate about politics…don’t miss
this great opportunity!
About the Contest
Event Details:
- When: Saturday, September 27, 2025
- Where: Impact Life, 20 Kelloway Crescent, Red Deer, AB
- Who: Open to youth ages 14–26 from across Alberta
- Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Cost: Cost of registration (includes lunch), plus $75 to put towards expenses to get there will be covered!
Attendees Will:
- Develop practical leadership skills through interactive workshops.
- Connect with peers, mentors, and influential Alberta leaders.
- Hear a keynote address and participate in a Q& a session with Premier Danielle Smith.
- Enjoy panels, hands-on breakout sessions, entertainment, and opportunities for ongoing engagement.
Participating is easy! To enter the contest, follow these simple steps:
- Write a 500-word essay based around one of the three following questions:
- Why should I get involved in politics?
- What is the ideal role and function of good provincial governance?
- If you were Premier tomorrow, what would you do first?
- Submit your entry to livingstone-macleod@unitedconservative.ca
- Submit your entry on or before the deadline. Late entries will not be considered, so don’t wait until the last minute!
- Only one submission per contestant!
Important Dates
- Contest Launch: Today! The call for entries is officially open.
- Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by midnight on August
- 22/2025.
- Two winners will be chosen and contacted by August 29/2025.
