Welcome

The Livingstone-Macleod Constituency Association is a volunteer organization that supports political activities on behalf of the UCP political party. The association is made up of friends and neighbors from diverse industries, including farming, ranching, and manufacturing. With the goal of improving everyday life in Livingstone-Macleod, the association helps its MLA understand and address the concerns of its members and the public at large.

Our MLA

Meet Chelsae Petrovic

Growing up in rural Alberta, my life has been centered around serving others. I am a mother of two and happily married, with a strong commitment to Conservatism and my Christian faith.

Our family operates small businesses and have ranch land located in the heart of southern Alberta. In recent years, our rural communities in Livingstone-Macleod have faced significant challenges such as rising inflation and an increasingly high cost of living, and I understand the difficulties that come with these issues.

As a nurse, I have dedicated 12 years of my life to caring for those in need in our community. However, my passion for serving others extends beyond the walls of the hospital. I currently serve as the community coordinator for My City Care, a rapidly growing not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of programs to our community, including the Shop of Wonders, the Cinderella project, Farm to Table, and the Lunch Box program. These programs are designed to provide a helping hand rather than handouts, and I am proud to be a part of this important work.

In recognition of my volunteer work and community involvement, I was honored as Citizen of the Year in 2020. This recognition has only strengthened my commitment to serving my community

in any way I can.

As the former Mayor of Claresholm, I am deeply committed to serving my constituents. Seeing the significant changes and challenges that have impacted our communities in recent years, I knew that I needed to get involved in public service to ensure that we do everything we can to keep Alberta the best place to live and raise a family.

I believe in leading by example, and I am not afraid to stand up for my values and beliefs.

As your representative in the legislature, I will always put the needs of the people of Livingstone-Macleod first.

I am committed to listening to your concerns and working to find solutions that best serve our communities. I am proud to serve the small towns, ranches, and farms of Livingstone-Macleod.

Together, we can work to make our community an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Meet the 2026 Board

Executive & VP Board Members

Micah Feyter

PRESIDENT

Micah was born, raised, and homeschooled in Fort Macleod, where he continues to live, work, and play. He works alongside his family in their construction manufacturing business, contributing to the building of locally made construction products.

An active member of the community, Micah is involved in local sports as a player, lifeguard, and referee, and enjoys reading novels and biographies in his downtime.

Micah has been involved with the Liv-Mac CA board for a few years, and now proudly serves as President. His passion for politics and desire to learn, contribute, and make a difference highlight the importance of young people becoming engaged in civic leadership for the benefit of future generations.

Keith Roman

CFO

Keith is the new CFO for the Livingstone-Macleod Association, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to his community. Born in Calgary and raised in Alberta, Keith has spent most of his life in the province, with a brief two-year stint in Fernie. He has had a distinguished career, spending 20 years with Imperial Oil (including two years with Byron Creek Collieries) and 23 years with Canadian Pacific Railway, retiring as an IT Enterprise Architect. Keith and his wife have lived west of Stavely for 24 years, building a home on an acreage carved from part of the family ranch, which continues to run a cow-calf operation. His connection to the land and its stewards, including farmers and ranchers, has transformed him from an "urbanite" into a passionate advocate for rural Alberta. His professional experience, combined with his personal ties to the region, gives him a unique understanding of the key economic activities in Livingstone-Macleod. A committed political supporter, Keith's involvement dates back to 1979 when he served as an assistant to John Zaozirny, who successfully ran for the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party and later became the Minister of Energy. Keith is a strong supporter of Danielle Smith, believing she is an effective leader who is driving Alberta forward. With four grandchildren, Keith is deeply concerned about the future of the province, especially under the potential leadership of the Liberals or NDP. Fun fact: Keith’s favorite song is "Alberta Bound" — a perfect anthem for someone so deeply connected to the province he loves!

Shauna Oseen

Secretary & VP of Memberships

Shauna has been an active member of the board for a couple terms and has recently stepped into the roles of Secretary and VP of Memberships. She brings valuable experience, organization, and a strong commitment to supporting the board and its members.

Residing in High River, Shauna is passionate about community involvement and helping strengthen connections within the organization. Her dedication and willingness to step up into leadership roles make her a valued part of the team.

Brent Feyter

VP of Policy

Brent, was raised in Fort Macleod and has been actively involved in the community from a young age through local youth sports and activities. Since graduating in 1997, he has worked with several local businesses and has played a key role in leading and growing his family companies, Structural Truss Systems and Forma Steel.

Brent and his wife, Janey, are proud parents to six children — Micah, Sherayah, Levi, Emalee, Maelle, and Ezra. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, learning from those who have overcome significant challenges, and spending time with his family.

Through his personal and professional experiences, Brent has developed a deep appreciation for the role strong communities play in supporting families and driving business success. He believes community thrives when people are proud to live and work where they do, trust one another, celebrate shared successes, and come together during challenging times.

Tessa Van Hierden

VP of Communications

Tessa is a passionate and driven student from Fort Macleod, where she currently attends F.P. Walshe High School. From a young age, she has actively sought out leadership opportunities and has been involved in various clubs and community initiatives. Tessa has a strong interest in sports, enjoying volleyball, skiing, and curling in her free time. She is thrilled to have been given the chance to make a difference in her community by joining the Macleod-Livingston UCP board as a junior member, where she is excited to have a political voice and contribute to positive change.

Conrad Van Hierden

VP of Fundraising

Our past President of the Board, Conrad’s journey in provincial politics began with a strong passion for community representation in Fort Macleod. Inspired by local business leader and restaurateur Dave Coutts, who served as the MLA for Macleod from 1979 to 1983, Conrad first became involved in the political landscape. His commitment to public service continued through his collaboration with Leroy Forjbottom, a respected and long-serving figure in Macleod politics from 1979 to 1993.

The political landscape evolved with the founding of the United Conservative Party, leading to the election of Roger Reed for Livingston Macleod. Conrad played a pivotal role during this transition, serving as President and assuming various other responsibilities within the party. Even after these roles, Conrad remains actively engaged, working on the board to advocate for the conservative voice in Alberta, alongside the current MLA Chelsea Petrovic.

Beyond the realm of politics, Conrad and his family have a longstanding connection to Fort Macleod, having purchased a mixed farm in 1981. Witnessing the growth of the younger generation's interest in politics is particularly gratifying for Conrad, as he continues to contribute to the political discourse in Alberta.

Maas brings a fresh perspective as a newcomer to a political board. Motivated by a growing concern over the diminishing influence of individuals in governmental affairs, Maas decided to take a stand and participate actively in political discussions. The catalyst for this newfound interest emerged in recent years, as he observed a perceived lack of public involvement in decision-making processes. Eager to be part of the solution, Maas joined the political board with the goal of not only staying informed but also contributing to shaping a more inclusive and

representative governance.

With a growing family to consider, Maas recognizes the importance of unity and preserving family values. The commitment to ensuring a brighter future for the family aligns with the broader vision for a thriving Alberta. Through active participation in the political board, Maas seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the political landscape, thereby empowering himself to make informed decisions that resonate with his values. By fostering respect for others and advocating for a united front, Maas aims to contribute to the betterment of Alberta, leaving a positive legacy

for the generations to come.

Catherine has over 15 years of experience in the events industry, creating social media content for various clients and holding extensive administrative roles.

She served as VP of Communications during her first year on the Livingstone-Macleod Association board and even received a communications award at the 2023 UCP AGM.

Catherine joined the board because she was dissatisfied with the direction government officials had been taking in recent years. She is eager to do her part to ensure that Livingstone-Macleod upholds the values that attracted her to the riding and that she holds dear.

Nicole grew up on a farm near Granum, Alberta, right on the edge of the Livingstone-Macleod constituency. A proud conservative Albertan, she has a deep passion for the agriculture industry and is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside her family. Nicole cherishes the freedoms and opportunities she had growing up in this beautiful province and hopes to see those same opportunities available for her future kids.

Homeschooled from kindergarten through to graduation with her Alberta High School diploma, Nicole learned not only from textbooks but also valuable life lessons like common sense, hard work, honesty, and integrity.

Nicole got involved in politics about a year and a half ago after attending her first political AGM with her brother, Justin. Although she had always been interested in politics, she was pleasantly surprised by how much she enjoyed getting involved. Realizing the importance of young Christian people stepping up, she started attending political events in southern Alberta and became active in several political campaigns. This eventually led her to join the Livingstone-MacLeod Constituency Association board in January.

Nicole loves her community and believes it's crucial to get involved at the local level. She’s committed to using her God-given gifts for His honor and glory, and also to encouraging, supporting, and holding our MLA, Chelsae Petrovic, accountable. She believes it’s important to stand beside, pray for, and assist our MLAs as their jobs can be challenging.

In addition to her work on the board, Nicole has recently taken over the role of VP of Communications, where she has been doing an excellent job in keeping the community informed and engaged. Nicole continues to learn and grow in her role, and enjoys working alongside the board towards the common goal of making Alberta the best place to live, work, and raise a family. She looks forward to working closely with Chelsae and the board in preparation for the upcoming spring election.

John has built a career deeply rooted in Alberta’s mountain landscapes and responsible land stewardship. A lifelong lover of the mountains, he began his professional journey with a five-year career as a Forest Service Ranger in Lac La Biche and the Crowsnest Pass. He later transitioned into private industry, serving for 27 years as Woodlands Manager for the sawmill west of Coleman, Alberta. In this role, John oversaw logging operations, reforestation, and land reclamation across a vast timber quota stretching from Waterton National Park to the Highwood Summit.

In 2008, John founded his own company, working extensively in wildfire control and FireSmart projects across Alberta. He is a strong advocate for responsible resource extraction in the mountains, pointing to the reforested cut blocks north and south of Crowsnest as lasting evidence of his commitment and credentials.

John and his wife, Susanna, have supported Chelsae Petrovic since first meeting her, respecting her strong work ethic and Christian values. With more than 40 years of experience in forestry, John is eager to contribute his knowledge and practical insight wherever he can to support effective leadership and decision-making.

Currently, John serves as the MD of Pincher Creek Councillor for Division 5 (Lundbreck North). While navigating the challenges of municipal politics, he has become increasingly concerned with government inefficiency, rising project costs, and excessive bureaucracy that ultimately burden taxpayers. In Chelsae, John sees a shared commitment to addressing these issues and understands that meaningful change takes time. He considers it an honour to be involved and to contribute to this CA.

He and his wife, Anita, have been married for 37 years and feel incredibly blessed to have raised their seven children and now enjoy time with their eleven grandchildren in this beautiful and vibrant region of the province.

A graduate of Kate Andrews High School in Coaldale in 1981, Ben went on to work in a variety of construction and agricultural roles. Shortly after marrying in 1986, he and Anita rented their first farm near Park Lake, marking the beginning of a lifelong commitment to farming. In 1998, they established Alberta’s first organic goat dairy and on-farm dairy processing facility. The operation grew rapidly to a herd of 375 milking does, with products sold throughout Alberta.

Following a shoulder injury and surgery five years ago, Ben and his family made the decision to sell the farm and business and relocate west of Fort Macleod. There, they now operate a small beef herd and grow a variety of organic produce, which they direct-market into Calgary and Edmonton.

Ben has previously served on several boards, including those focused on agriculture, a local credit union, and church leadership. He now looks forward to serving as a director on the local CA board. Ben believes strongly in democratic engagement and is committed to helping uphold Alberta as a prosperous, strong, and free province for the benefit of future generations.
